Lewisham Children & Family Centre

Routines Week

Hello I’m Donna one of the Early Years Practitioners at our Children and Family Centre’s and I would like to say to all our families and friends that we hope you are all staying safe, healthy and emotionally resilient during these uncertain and challenging times.
Each week we have being looking at ways to stay in touch with you via our Facebook page and website, bringing you activities and information so that we all feel connected.

You may have found your usual routines being disrupted, however, it is still important for us all to keep to some sort of daily and family routine.
Having a daily routine helps us and our family stay healthy and emotionally resilient. Routine is especially important for children to give their day some structure, being without their normal routine can be unsettling for them.

Your new family routine can be very simple, get your children to help make one, things like allowing them to choose the activity when you have family time or what time you read a story together. Keeping it simple will make it easy for all the family to follow.
You can find more information on Routines and how they help us, our family and our children  on our Facebook page and we will round up all the activities on the Routines Activities website page.
