Lewisham Children & Family Centre

Coronavirus (COVID-19) update:

All Lewisham Children and Family Centres are currently still closed.
We are working hard to get our buildings back open and risk assessed to comply with national and local government guidance, and we are planning smaller group work and healthy walks this autumn.
In the meantime, you can access information about your child’s development, activity ideas and singing sessions online and we have a virtual timetable of activities delivered via our Facebook and Instagram pages. If you would like to speak to someone from the team, please fill out our enquiry form on the contact us and someone will be in touch as soon as possible.
You can also request 1:1 Family Support or Parenting by filling out the enquiry form on the contact page or emailing lewisham.secure@eyalliance.org.uk

Talking to Children about Coronavirus

Television news reports, newspaper headlines and of course conversations at home are dominated by the latest developments in this fast-moving global health emergency.

Consequently, it is inevitable that even very young children will pick up on the levels of anxiety around them about the virus, even if they do not fully understand the context of the current situation.

Therefore, it is important you respond to any concerns that children express in a sensitive and age-appropriate manner.

This post from Family Corner talks about answering children’s questions about Coronavirus.
